Processing Parameters

Drying Treatment Normally not required PP absorbs negligible moisture. Drying is unnecessary under proper storage. Dry at 80‑100 ℃ for 1‑2 h if material gets damp.
Barrel Temperature 180‑280℃ Zone example: rear zone 180‑200℃;middle zone 200‑230℃;front zone 210‑250℃. Adopt relatively low temperature for high‑flow grade to avoid material degradation.
Mold Temperature 40‑80℃ Recommended:50‑60℃. Higher mold temperature improves surface gloss, dimensional stability and weld‑line strength; lower mold temperature shortens molding cycle.
Injection Pressure 60‑100 MPa Adjust per flow‑length and part structure. Appropriately reduce injection pressure for high‑flow material.
Injection Speed Medium‑high speed High‑speed injection helps reduce internal stress, especially for thin‑wall articles. Excessively high speed may trigger surface defects such as gas marks.
Holding Pressure & Time 30%‑60% of injection pressure Sufficient holding pressure reduces shrinkage and sink marks. Avoid overly long holding time to prevent excessive internal stress.
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.0 MPa Moderate back‑pressure improves melt homogenization and venting. Not mandatory; too low back‑pressure may cause air entrapment in melt.
